Taskforce 13-1 was dispatched to the Woods of Wenonah development for a reported vehicle fire. 1301 arrived to find a pickup truck well off close to an attached garage and other vehicles. Squad 1311 arrived and went into service with a 200’ crosslay due to the large setback. Engine 911 fed 1311 additional tank water. Engine 912 stood by at the hydrant. Crews from 15-1 and 9-1 assisted with overhaul and securing the battery. The FM was dispatched due to damage to 3 vehicles and soffits on the garage. Quick work by your volunteers prevented the fire from spreading to the house and additional vehicles. Thanks to our mutual aid partners for their quick response. No injuries were reported.

It is possible tap water may be temporarily discolored due to hydrant use on Cherry St. Run your tub to clear. This is the result of high volume moving through the water system stirring up sediment on an old water main. Fire Hose testing is a yearly mandated activity.

The weather forecast for Memorial Day calls for heavier rain in the morning than we anticipated so we're forced to cancel Wenonah's parade and cemetery service. In lieu of these ceremonies, please take a moment to honor and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in military service to our nation. We don't know them all but we owe them all.

Fire Hydrant flushing on Cherry St may cause temporary browning of water for residents in the South West quadrant. This is harmless and should only be temporary. Run faucets to clear.
