It has been a long time since I have made a post here. But there is time for everything and now is that time.
In reference to the Berger - Page NC Senate Campaign there is one outstanding feature that has cost the Sr. NC Senator his coveted position. That feature is one that President Reagan most elegantly issued to all Republicans; "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican" ; also known in Republican circles as the 11th Commandment.
That single mistake with its vitriol laced language doomed the once most powerful man in NC politics in the last quarter century.
The moral of this fiasco is:
Republicans take heed to whom you associate with and do not support those that stoop to attacks on your brethren as there are extreme consequences. If you disagree do so civily and out of view of the Democrats. If not you are laying the groundwork for Democrats to attack Republicans.
