Wentworth Fire & EMS is proud to shine this Member Spotlight on Rebecca, whose dedication, growth, and commitment to our department have stood out since she joined the team about three years ago.
Since coming through our doors, Rebecca has shown a true can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn. She has worked hard through training in PPE, SCBA, Equipment operations, CPR, Vehicle extrication, and many other Firefighter I skills. She is also enrolled in the state academy–driven program for Firefighter I and Firefighter II, continuing to build a strong foundation in the fire service.
One of Rebecca’s most recent accomplishments has been completing her EMT class, which she began in early winter. She recently finished the course and passed her [National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians]() EMT test successfully, an impressive achievement that reflects both her preparation and determination. She is already signed up for the Advanced EMT program coming up in late summer and early fall.
Some know her as Pinky on mutual aid calls, and at the station we know her as the snack girl because she always brings snacks and tasty treats to meetings and trainings. More importantly, she is a tremendous asset to both the department and the community. Rebecca responds from work during the day when needed, rarely misses a run, and balances her time between family, work, and the fire department with the strong support of her family. We are excited to watch her continue to grow through the ranks of our department. Congratulations, Rebecca, on your latest achievement and on the dedication you show every step of the way.

Wed. may 20th several of the members made it out to put the FD flags on the grave sites of our past deceased members . We want to honor them for all they had done for our department and we do not want to forget them. A little discussion or story goes with each flag presentation as the person is being remembered We have been doing this for many years and feel it is important to us and the family of the past members..

Today’s annual plant sale was a huge success, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who donated plants and baked goods, participated in the event, and made purchases throughout the day. We also had two raffles: one for a bear wood burning donated by Breezy Woods Mushroom Farm, and the other for a garden cart filled with tools donated by Stone RV Services. We are incredibly grateful to both of these local businesses for supporting the cause so generously. A big thank-you from Wentworth Fire to everyone who helped make this event such a success.

Congratulations to our raffle winners: J. Diduca of Wentworth, winner of the bear wood burning, and Amy Reiter of Wentworth, winner of the garden cart with tools. Please make arrangements to pick up your winnings by calling the Chief at 603-764-9992. Once again, thank you all for your continued support of the department, and thank you to all the members who gave their time and effort to organize and make this event happen

INFORMATION FOR BURN PERMITS
Wentworths citizens/land owners can now obtain fire permits online. Some system glitches were happening initially, but appear to be corrected. (If the fire danger rating for our area is HIGH then Category 3 (Brush pile) permits will not be issued at that time ) You can still obtain written fire permits from the warden or deputy wardens but we are trying to make this more convenient for the landowner. All regulations still pertain. We are sent notification of the permit direct to the warden. I hope this helps make obtaining permits easier. If you have questions or concerns please reach out to me. Jeff Ames 603-764-9992 or via e mail [email protected]. Thank you and be safe
