Lace up, dress up and get ready to race at the Spooktacular 5K & Kids’ Fun Run! 🎃

This Halloween-themed race returns to Wentzville on Saturday, Oct. 24. Dress up in your favorite costume and run or walk through Heartland Park and the surrounding streets.

The 5K starts at 9 a.m., followed by the Kids’ Fun Run at 9:15 a.m. Whether you’re racing for a new personal best, walking the course with friends or bringing the kids out for their own race, there’s a way for everyone to get in on the fun!

Badges & Bites is coming to Rotary Park on Friday, Sept. 25! This FREE outdoor movie and food truck event is presented by Gateway Fiber in partnership with the Wentzville Police Department. Enjoy delicious bites from local food trucks, activities for the kids and the chance to meet and hang out with local police officers.

Then, bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for Zootopia 2 on a giant LED movie screen. Plus, the first 200 people will receive FREE popcorn courtesy of the Wentzville Police Department!

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. Bring family and friends and don’t miss this fun Friday night in Wentzville!

Have an athlete who loves volleyball and is looking to sharpen their skills? Girls’ Volleyball Skills and Drills is a six-week program designed to supplement the Girls’ Volleyball League and give players ages 9–14 extra time on the court. Players will rotate through instructor-led drill stations and be grouped by skill level to improve technique and build confidence on the court. 🏐

Make plans for one final night of live music at Rotary Park!

The America 250 Concert Series continues on Saturday, Sept. 12, for the final concert of the year. Ben Morgan & Whiskey Tango will take the stage at 6:30 p.m., bringing a dynamic performance with a blend of country, blues and rock ‘n’ roll. This FREE event will also feature local food trucks, kids' activities, yard games and plenty of family fun.

There's still time to register your pup for Pooch Plunge!

Bring your four-legged friend on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 5–7 p.m. for an evening of swimming, splashing and fun. This event is made possible by our sponsors Westinn Kennels and Gateway Fiber, who will be providing door prizes, ice cream and pup cups.

As a reminder, the Wentzville Rec Center and Progress Park Recreation Center will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. The WREC will return to peak hours starting Tuesday, Sept. 8. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday when we reopen.

Splash Station Aquatic Center will be open during normal operating hours on Labor Day for the last day of the season.

Step into a world of superheroes, strategy and storytelling with Sentinel Comics at the Wentzville Rec Center.

A NEW tabletop role-playing adventure is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 19. In this one-day program, participants will create their own unique superhero, learn the basics of the game and team up to stop a deadly plot unfolding aboard a speeding train before disaster strikes.

It's never too late to learn to skate! ⛸️

Our Adult Workshop is designed especially for beginners and anyone looking to feel more confident on the ice. In these 30-minute sessions, skaters will focus on the basics of skating in addition to some advanced skills. Registration includes skate rental and a punch pass for six Public Skate visits, so you can keep practicing throughout the session.
