Badges & Bites is coming to Rotary Park on Friday, Sept. 25! This FREE outdoor movie and food truck event is presented by Gateway Fiber in partnership with the Wentzville Police Department. Enjoy delicious bites from local food trucks, activities for the kids and the chance to meet and hang out with local police officers.

Then, bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for Zootopia 2 on a giant LED movie screen. Plus, the first 200 people will receive FREE popcorn courtesy of the Wentzville Police Department!

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. Bring family and friends and don’t miss this fun Friday night in Wentzville!

Today, Thursday, Sept. 3 several members of the Wentzville Police Department had the privilege of attending the 20th Annual Prayer Breakfast at St. Patrick Parish in Wentzville.

Although the service moved indoors due to the heat, the purpose of this special gathering remained the same: honoring and praying for the men and women who serve our community in law enforcement, fire and emergency medical service.

We are grateful to Pastor Shaughnessy and Retired Corporal Mainieri for sharing a meaningful message about service and sacrifice and for recognizing the dedication of those who serve our community.

We also want to thank the St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 10154 for hosting a warm and welcoming breakfast following the service. We truly appreciate the invitation, hospitality and continued support of our first responder community.

Thank you to everyone at St. Patrick Parish for continuing this tradition and for your support of those who serve and protect our community.

The St. Charles County Regional SWAT Team will be conducting training exercises today, Sept. 3 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the area near St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville.

Please don’t be alarmed if you see an increased police & emergency vehicle presence in the area. This is a scheduled training exercise & there is no threat to the public.

***SCAM ALERT***

Today, we have received several calls from concerned citizens that received a scam phone call portraying to be a Wentzville Police Officer.

The scammer uses a several different "scams," such as claiming you missed jury duty, having a warrant for your arrest or that an officer needs you to call immediately about a legal matter.

In many cases they provide an officer's name and badge number and can sound very convincing. Then, they will send a link or try to obtain your financial information to facilitate a money transfer.

To be clear, the Wentzville Police Department or the Wentzville Municipal Court will NEVER contact you for payment over the phone.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Please DO NOT transfer money online with Venmo, Cash App or buy gift cards and give the scammer the pin numbers.

Have you registered yet? Are you interested in serving your community?

The 2026 CERT Training class kicks off this September!

Training sessions will take place on the following dates:
• Friday, Sept. 11 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The final session and graduation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Get ready to learn essential skills and be part of a team that helps keep Wentzville safe!

Wentzville CERT is part of a national program that equips citizens to be able to fill the gap between when a disaster strikes and the arrival of first responders. CERT training provides basic survival and rescue skills that help you prepare for, respond to, and recover from an emergency or disaster.

As a member of CERT, you can participate in drills and exercises, take additional training, and volunteer at community events. As part of an activated team, you will be ready to deliver immediate assistance to victims, mobilize local resources, organize emergency communications and support first responders.

Training Topics will include Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Light Search and Rescue, Disaster Medical Operations and Communications.
