Now hiring full-time Driver/Attendant for our Day Activity Center! ✏️📚😃🚐🎶

Seeking a fun and easy-going person to work with our clients in a day program setting.

Responsibilities include: assisting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their recreational activities and activities of daily living such as feeding and toileting, providing skills training, supervising safety and security, transporting clients in the community, and documentation of weekly progress notes for each assigned client.

Preferred Experience:
TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AN ADULT DAY CARE OR SIMLAR SETTING. Or One year work/volunteer experience with individuals with disabilities.

Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Texas Driver’s license with clean driving record.
3. Excellent computer skills.
4. Bilingual English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
5. Current CPR/First Aid Certification

Schedule:
Must be available from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.

🧩 Autism Awareness Stickers Now Available!

The Weslaco Police Department is proud to offer Autism Awareness Stickers to help enhance communication and interactions between officers and individuals on the autism spectrum.

Parents and guardians can pick up a sticker and complete an information form, including a recent photo and important details about their child. The sticker is intended to be displayed on a family vehicle, helping officers recognize when a child with autism may be involved in a traffic stop, become lost, or need assistance.

Together, we can promote understanding, safety, and stronger community partnerships. 💙
