Day 1 of Quest Nature Camp for ages 5–6 was a success! 🌿✨

Today, I had the opportunity to volunteer through NHS and help with a camp filled with learning, exploration, and fun. It was amazing to see so many young campers excited to discover nature and ask questions about the world around them.

I’m grateful for organizations like the Valley Nature Center that provide meaningful opportunities for our youth to learn, grow, and connect with nature. Experiences like these help inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. 💚🌎

Today, we pause to remember and honor the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸❤️ Their bravery, strength, and selflessness are the reason we are able to live freely and chase our dreams every single day. Memorial Day is more than a holiday — it is a reminder to reflect with gratitude on those who served and gave everything for our nation.

As Miss Weslaco, I am incredibly thankful for the heroes and military families whose dedication continues to inspire communities across our country. May we never forget the sacrifices made for our freedom, and may we continue to spread kindness, unity, and love in honor of them.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. Today we honor. Always we remember. ❤️🤍💙

Had such a wonderful time attending the City of Weslaco’s Touch-A-Truck event today in celebration of Public Works Week! 🚜💛 It was so special seeing families, children, and community members come together to learn more about the vehicles, equipment, and hardworking departments that help keep our city running every single day. From dump trucks to excavators, the excitement and smiles on the kids’ faces made the event even more memorable!

Events like these are such a great reminder of how important community engagement is and how much goes on behind the scenes to keep Weslaco growing and thriving. I loved getting to interact with families, support our city departments, and see firsthand the impact our Public Works team has on our everyday lives.

A huge thank you to the City of Weslaco - Government and all of the Public Works employees for your dedication, service, and hard work. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and today was such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate all that you do for our community. Proud to represent and support a city that continues to create opportunities for connection, education, and community pride!

I had the honor of attending the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new avionics program at South Texas College — an exciting step forward not only for education, but for the future of the City of Weslaco, The Official Site. ✈️

Programs like this create incredible opportunities for students interested in aviation, technology, and hands-on careers while also helping strengthen our local workforce and economy. It’s inspiring to see our community continue investing in innovation, education, and the next generation of leaders.

The growth of programs like avionics opens doors for students to pursue high-demand careers right here in the Rio Grande Valley, bringing even more opportunity and progress to our city. Proud to witness another exciting moment for our community and its future! 💙

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers and mother figures in our community! 💐💖

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to help pass out Mother’s Day cards and donuts to the incredible mothers there. It was truly such a heartwarming experience getting to spend time with them, hear their stories, and see so many smiles throughout the morning.

Mothers play such an important role in our lives through their love, strength, sacrifices, and endless support. Whether it’s through words of encouragement, acts of kindness, or simply always being there for their families, their impact reaches far beyond what words can describe. Being able to celebrate and honor these women, even in a small way, was incredibly meaningful to me.

One of my favorite parts of the visit was seeing how something as simple as a card, a conversation, or a sweet treat could brighten someone’s day. Moments like these are such an important reminder of how powerful kindness and community can be.

Thank you to the staff at the Weslaco Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for welcoming us so warmly, and thank you to all of the mothers in our community for everything you do each and every day. Wishing everyone a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and special moments with the people who mean the most. 🌷✨

On Friday, I had the opportunity to recognize National School Nurse Appreciation Day and celebrate the incredible school nurses who care for students every single day.

School nurses are often the first people students turn to when they’re not feeling well, overwhelmed, or just need a moment of care—and they handle every situation with patience, compassion, and kindness. From small scrapes to bigger concerns, they’re always there making sure students feel safe, supported, and looked after.🏥

What stood out to me the most is how much they do behind the scenes that often goes unnoticed. Their role is so much more than treating symptoms—they create a comforting space on campus and truly help make schools feel like a safer environment for everyone.👩‍⚕️

Grateful for the dedication, heart, and care they show every day. Thank you to all school nurses for everything you do for students and our community.

On Thursday, to close out National Small Business Week, I had the opportunity to attend the Network Mixer and be surrounded by local entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders who are truly the backbone of our city. It was such an inspiring experience getting to hear their stories and see the passion behind the businesses that often start with nothing more than an idea, hard work, and a lot of determination. ☺️🤍

What stood out to me the most was how every small business has its own unique story, but they all share the same foundation of resilience, dedication, and love for their community. These are the places that bring character to our city, support local families, and create opportunities that go far beyond just products or services.

Being able to connect, ask questions, and learn from people who have taken risks to build something of their own made me even more appreciative of the impact small businesses have every day. Ending the week with this event was a reminder of how important it is to support and celebrate local businesses not just during a designated week, but all year long.

I had the honor to attend the Small Business Week proclamation at the City of Weslaco, The Official Site

It was a privilege to join local leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members in recognizing the small businesses that play such an important role in driving innovation, creating jobs, and supporting the continued growth of our community.

Small businesses make up the majority of businesses in the United States and are often considered the backbone of local economies, helping shape the character and culture of cities like Weslaco. One interesting fact is that small businesses account for nearly half of all private-sector jobs nationwide, highlighting their major impact on both local communities and the broader economy.

Grateful to have been part of this meaningful celebration of the businesses and individuals who help our city thrive. ☺️

Kicking off the Cinco de Mayo celebrations a little early last Friday at La Plazita Park 🇲🇽✨ Today, as we officially celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I’m reflecting on such a beautiful evening spent honoring culture, community, and tradition. I was so grateful to attend as Miss Weslaco, surrounded by incredible performances, talented musicians, and vibrant folklórico dancers who brought our heritage to life in the most inspiring way.

Events like these are such a special reminder of the pride, history, and unity within our community. Thank you to the City of Weslaco, The Official Site for creating a space where culture is celebrated so passionately. So proud to represent and celebrate alongside such an amazing community—¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! ❤️💚

May the 4th was full of fun, imagination, and a little bit of Jedi magic! ⭐️✨ I had such a great time hosting our “Be a Force for Good” activity at the Mayor Joe V. Sanchez Public Library of Weslaco!

We started by reading a story together, then got creative making our very own lightsabers—seeing everyone’s ideas come to life was so much fun! And to make the day even more exciting…we got to meet a Stormtrooper! 🤍

One of my favorite moments was becoming officially Jedi certified alongside Little Miss Weslaco and Junior Miss Weslaco—definitely a day to remember! 💫 Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped spread kindness throughout our community. Let’s keep being a force for good! 💜
