The Adult Advisors at both Central and Hale have left the District, so I am waiting on the names of their replacements.

If you know anyone else interested, we can get them an application.

Just a reminder to everyone to pump up the Food Drive at the parade on Saturday to all your family and friends! Post it on your pages-
It will be in the West Allis Now paper and a press release went out last week.

I assume we have enough volunteers to walk in the parade?

(From the MACC Fund)
Hello everyone! Thank you very much for helping us to wrap trees creating the beautiful Candy Cane Lane on Saturday. We will meet at 10 a.m. at Diane Brandt's house 2936 S. 93rd St. where we will break off into groups of three or four students, hand out supplies and do a quick demonstration on how to wrap a tree! Then we'll send
you off into the neighborhood. Please ask your students to bring one pair of scissors for each group of 2-3 students. And please ask them to dress warmly!

I'm envisioning the following breakout:

MUHS students, Christensens, Rose & MacKenzie start wrapping trees on Oklahoma Ave. from east side of 92nd - 96th St. and head north
W.A. CCC and W.A. Youth Commission students start wrapping trees on Montana Ave. and head south
Brookfield Central students start wrapping trees on east side of 92nd St and head west.
Brookfield East students start wrapping trees on 96th St. and head east.

Light poles and tiny trees do no need to be wrapped, Occasionally a neighbor will ask to have a tree in their yard wrapped and this is ok as long as we have enough supplies. We'll be driving around the neighborhood picking up garbage and generally checking in. Refreshments will be available at Diane's house also.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday! Colleen

Food Drive has been Cancelled for this Saturday.

Banner Update! There was a banner made for the Christmas Parade. It is in my office and we can look at it Monday. It is about 8 feet long so it might be a little big to use for a food drive, but it would work for 'Let's Get Local' and probably for the candidate forum.
