Hello my name is Patty Novak and I am an Alderwoman for West Allis District 4

As most of you already know, the site of the new DPW that is still under construction and was scheduled to be finished this fall had a major fire today. First and foremost I am so thankful we can say that no one who was working in the building or on the roof at the time nor any first responders were injured. That is the most important thing. Unfortunately we do not have a ton of specific details yet as everything is still being investigated. Official statements from the city and VJS construction will come and when they do I will share them with you.

In a few short weeks the kids will be heading back to school. I ask that we all please remember to be careful driving, watch for kids crossing, slow down and give yourself a little extra time so that everyone gets home safely each day.

So thankful for the invite to the McCarty Park neighborhood block party! My husband and I took tattoos, coloring pages, animal masks etc for the kids!! It was great to see the neighbors coming together and having a great time!! The floods hit them so hard last year but it did not break them!! D4 residents you are amazing!!

My husband and I along with friends love to pack as much fun as we can in the few summer months we get!! We love supporting local too. This past Saturday we went with friends to a local church festival and listened to a great band. Smaller festivals feel like they are dying off so if you enjoy them get out visit some this summer!
Please no matter what you are doing if your having some drinks have a DD!! This weekend it was me which meant when we stopped at Nico's pizza after for a brief karaoke moment I got to be nostalgic and order a kiddie cocktail!!!

My husband and I did an impromptu West Allis Friday Night out!

We stopped first at Perspective Brewing. They have a summer drink that my husband just loves called a prickly pear margarita, it is worth stopping in for. They also had a fun world cup watch party going on!

Then we went to a store called birdsong on greenfield Ave. I saw them at alacart but didn't have chance much so I wanted to check it out.

We then headed over to meet our friends at food truck Friday at the Farmer's market. Had to get some sweets from Margie Story a local baker!! Had some snacks and shopped the vendors.

Lastly we went to Su Plus 2 for a late dinner. They have such an array of food and as I have stated many times before incredible service.

I highly recommend a random Stallis Night Out!!
