11pm friday Update: professional fireworks display at the Rock sports complex 9.1 miles away from Greenfield park. Some people need to get hobbies.

9:53p Friday - I have been listening to the scanner for quite some time now with not much to report on. Multiple people calling in unfounded parking complaints near the State Fair grounds. Nearly every call results in no ticket or tow. Stop wasting WAPD’s officers time.

Also heard a “firework complaint/Greenfield Park. Caller reporting fireworks ‘somewhere in the area.” Someone/business/festival/wedding whatever it may have been miles south of Greenfield Park was having a professional fireworks display done that was heard throughout the city.

10:47p Thurs - 1200 blk s 72nd - caller reporting her boyfriend took her keys and is trying to leave in her vehicle. “I can hear a male in the back yelling at the caller.”

10:54p - “we’ve got one in custody right now for DV-Battery” “10-4.”

10:41p - 74th and Greenfield - “male black having a quote mental breakdown and pounding on windows.” Wearing a hoodie and shorts. 2+ Squads enroute.

10:44 - different officer out at 77th and greenfield with a black male in a camo hoodie in crisis. “This is probably him”

10:38p Thursday - Rogers - 111th and Lincoln. - “female, naked in the vestibule smoking a substance and doing inappropriate things.” - 2 squads enroute.

11:13p Wednesday - 124th and greenfield - AMB62 - “can we get PD to our location?” “What’s the reason?” “Patient is uncooperative and threw p**p at us.”

Meds arrived on scene for a patient saying she was pushed from her wheelchair. No one else in the vicinity upon arrival and the rest is… well.. a pretty crappy situation.

10:20 - Subway - 9135 W greenfield - trouble call. (Everyone stepping on each other on the scanner.) admittedly I don’t know the reason but a huge response is happening. Multiple squads on scene tracking them down. (Possible fight with death threat involving a fi***rm?)

10:23 - “Hispanic male. Possibly has a gun, reaching for something in his waistband.”

Perimeter being set up now. “We need to get him pinned down in the neighborhood.” “Ran north in the alley between 90th and 89.”

“Black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, Hispanic male”

“He is mid block between 89 and 90, keep all pedestrian traffic out of the area. Lock the area down and I’m about to announce commands. Many people in this area, please send out a picture of this subject. A lot of people in this area.”

~11pm - Search cancelled - unable to locate.

9:27 - he’s back - 72nd and Greenfield - 911 caller requesting PD for a male on a bicycle screaming and punching local businesses and windows.
