Music on Main is still on for tonight (September 3)! Stop by downtown to enjoy FM Rodeo at 6:30 p.m. with opening act - and Downtown West Bend Association's own - Van Yaeger from 5-6 p.m.

Can't make it tonight? You've got one more shot with the final Music on Main event of the season happening next week.

Add it to your calendars. Music on Main will continue through September 10th.

The West Bend 9/11 Observance will be held on Friday, September 11, at 9 a.m. The ceremony, organized by American Legion - Lt Ray Dickop Post 36 will be conducted at Veterans Plaza outside the Tower Heritage Center (320 S. 5th Avenue).

The public is welcome to attend.

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the City of West Bend Public Works office and Drop-Off Yard will be closed on Monday, September 7. The Drop-Off Yard will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 5.

♻️The Garbage/Recyling collection schedule for the Labor Day holiday is as follows:

Monday, September 7: Holiday, no collection
Tuesday, September 8: Monday route collected
Wednesday, September 9: Tuesday route collected
Thursday, September 10: Wednesday route collected
Friday, September 11: Thursday route collected

🍃 Brush Collection will follow the normal schedule for the remainder of 2026. Brush will be collected on each resident's scheduled garbage collection day with a separate truck during the weeks of September 7, September 21, October 5, and October 19.

🍂 Leaf collection will begin on Monday, October 19. Leaves are not to be placed curbside or put into the street gutter prior to Friday, October 16.

The West Bend Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department recently completed a playground reconstruction at Muenk Playlot.

While you enjoy the playground, take a moment to look at the historical marker in the northwest corner of the park. This marker commemorates the tornado that blew through West Bend in April of 1981.

Honorable Judge Gonring was the presenter at this week's Free Coffee Friday. He gave a comprehensive history of high schools in West Bend, from founding in the 1800s to a two school/one campus configuration in 1970 and now combining in 2027.

Celebrate 40 years of GERMANfest in West Bend this weekend! Regner Park will be full of live music, delicious food, b**r, dancing, games, and more from Thursday to Sunday. Proceeds from this event support Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties.
