The West Bend 9/11 Observance will be held on Friday, September 11, at 9 a.m. The ceremony, organized by American Legion - Lt Ray Dickop Post 36 will be conducted at Veterans Plaza outside the Tower Heritage Center (320 S. 5th Avenue).

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the City of West Bend Public Works office and Drop-Off Yard will be closed on Monday, September 7. The Drop-Off Yard will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 5.

♻️The Garbage/Recyling collection schedule for the Labor Day holiday is as follows:

Monday, September 7: Holiday, no collection
Tuesday, September 8: Monday route collected
Wednesday, September 9: Tuesday route collected
Thursday, September 10: Wednesday route collected
Friday, September 11: Thursday route collected

🍃 Brush Collection will follow the normal schedule for the remainder of 2026. Brush will be collected on each resident's scheduled garbage collection day with a separate truck during the weeks of September 7, September 21, October 5, and October 19.

🍂 Leaf collection will begin on Monday, October 19. Leaves are not to be placed curbside or put into the street gutter prior to Friday, October 16.
