Spring cleaning starts at about the time mud season ends and black fly season begins. Our schedule is packed with appointments at the Eco Depot. Make yours at www.cvswmd.org/eco-depot and we will see you at the red warehouse.

For spontaneous special recycling trips there are some appointment-free options. Local outlets that accept FREE disposal of TV and computer waste, fluorescent bulbs, architectural paint/stain/finish, and household batteries are posted at www.cvswmd.org/free-special-recycling-outlets .

Summer in Vermont means lots of outdoor events! 😎☀️ Whether that's food trucks, festivals, or concerts, you'll definitely be seeing a lot of paper foodware and plastic utensils. While they may seem recyclable, these items belong in the trash! 🗑️

And when in doubt, throw it out!

o Broken mercury items: fluorescent bulbs, switches, thermostats

o cologne/perfume & body spray
o drain openers & oven cleaners
o fertilizers
o oil filters (used)
o pesticides: insects, rodents, weeds
o pool chemicals
• Leaf & Yard Debris & Clean Wood
• *Mercury Products: fluorescent, HID or UV bulbs; switches; thermostats, thermometers, etc.
• Tires
