⚓Let's hear it for Sonja, Laker of the Month! 💚
This month, we are proud to recognize Sonja Vasovski as our June Laker of the Month. Nominated by Iris James, Sonja represents the best of Laker Nation through her kindness, optimism, and commitment to students and colleagues.
Sonja brings positive energy to her school community. Even during challenging times, she reminds those around her of the rewarding work they do. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her smile and encouraging attitude help create an environment where both students and staff feel supported.
Sonja consistently goes above and beyond to help others. She checks in with colleagues, asks how she can assist, and gives her time when someone needs support. Whether offering to stay after school to help a coworker complete a task or sharing ideas and resources, Sonja demonstrates what it means to be a team player.
At the heart of Sonja’s work is her genuine love for children. She believes students need opportunities to have fun, feel loved, and enjoy learning. She creates engaging activities that make learning enjoyable while supporting students’ academic growth. She also works to ensure children feel included, valued, and supported each day. Sonja’s care extends beyond her classroom, as she makes an effort to connect with students throughout the school. Children are naturally drawn to her kindness, warmth, and positive energy.
Sonja’s dedication and positive presence make her an outstanding example of what it means to be a Laker. We are so lucky to have her as part of the West Bloomfield Preschool Academy.
