Calling all artists! We are looking forward to hosting a Community Art Show this summer! Our theme is "Plant a Seed, Read" to match Summer Reading.
Here is information from IREAD about the theme: "The 2026 IREAD Summer Reading theme is "Plant a Seed, Read" and is rooted in the concept of farm to table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology."
Submission Details:
We are looking for any and all types of art to be represented (e.g. drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, fiber arts, pottery, origami)
Artists may be of any age / skill level.
Art should match the theme: plants, farms, gardens, food, etc. Also, books!
Any artist can submit up to 2 works.
Timeline:
Submissions to be delivered to the Library during the week of June 21st (June 22 – June 27) during the Library’s regular hours.
Work should be display ready.
Any information that you would like displayed with the work should be included with the submission.
Art exhibit will end on Aug 24th. Work may be collected any time that week (August 24 – August 28) during regular library hours.
