Is your 4-H'er or child interested in jam making? 🫐 Join us for Preserve the Taste of Summer: Jam Making for Youth workshop at the Des Moines County Extension office. Two sessions will be held on Thursday, June 25th, at 8:30-11:30 am or 1:00-4:00 pm. This program will give 4-H'ers the opportunity to get their jam ready for the upcoming Fair! 🍓

This workshop is free of charge thanks to the sponsorship of the Des Moines County Extension Council. Limited space is available, so register today!

The world of insects is vast and amazing! In this workshop, youth will learn the basics of insect anatomy and biology. We will also have hands-on activities where participants can learn how to collect, identify & preserve insects.

This program is free and open to youth, ages 6-12. Space is limited; registration will be required.

⛈️ UPDATE: Due to the stormy weather in the forecast, we will not be setting up at the Farmers Market this evening. ⛈️

Join us tonight at POP Club for lettuce. Come see us at Jefferson St Farmers Market and join the fun! Youth who sample lettuce will receive a $2 token to use towards fruit and vegetables at the farmers market. We hope to see you tonight, 4:30-6:30 pm!

REGISTRATION IS FULL FOR THIS CAMP

Join us June 18th, 9 am-3 pm, for a day of barnyard fun and farm-fresh learning! Little farmers will discover friendly farm animals and where food really comes from. Campers will experience the magic of farm life through hands-on activities, creative games, and preparing delicious food together using fresh ingredients from the farm.

This is a free day camp, open to K-3rd grade youth and will be held at the Des Moines County Extension Office.

Join us June 18th, 9 am-3 pm, for a day of barnyard fun and farm-fresh learning! Little farmers will discover friendly farm animals and where food really comes from. Campers will experience the magic of farm life through hands-on activities, creative games, and preparing delicious food together using fresh ingredients from the farm.
