WSBI plans to set up an information tent at the Barnstorming Carnival July 11-12 at Springfield (OH) Beckley Airport. Check out WSBI for information on the Wright Brothers work on watercraft along with lots of vintage aircraft and lots of food trucks.

Finally a good day (could've been a little warmer and a little less windy, but we'll take that over rain!) for a Fly-In! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the WSBI info tent at the Moraine Airpark and for all the pilots who attended. Also, thanks to everyone who helped with set-up and take-down of our new canopy tent. Look for us again at the Springfield Barnstorming Carnival in July!

Mark your calendar! Moraine Sunday Fun Day Fly-In set for May 3, 2026, weather permitting. The last couple years have been weather uncooperative, so keep your fingers crossed. WSBI is scheduled to have a info tent. See you there!

Despite the nasty weather, it was good to see runners and walkers at the first Moraine Airpark Run the Runway. Thanks for stopping to talk a bit with the three WSBI members who were safely tucked into Brad's hangar. (Thanks, Brad!).

With winds of 45mph expected for the Moraine Airpark Run the Runway this Sunday (Oct. 19), WSBI has decided against setting up an information tent. Sorry! WSBI members will be there to talk about the Wright Brothers work on aeroboats. Keep checking our posts for the next tent/booth and THANK YOU for your support.

Thanks to everyone who visited the WSBI tent at the recent Moraine 60th Anniversary event. We were impressed with several young people who loved airplanes. Weather-permitting and with staffing set up, WSBI hopes to have a tent at the Springfield Ohio Barnstorming Carnival in mid-July.

WSBI members are saddened by the passing of Roger Saddler (85). Roger was a long-time member of WSBI, a true gentleman, and a devoted promoter of community, family and aviation history. Condolences to Roger's family and friends.

WSBI mourns the recent passing of member Gary W. Gary was the driving force behind the 2023 Model G aeroboat sculpture located in Moraine, Ohio. WSBI will miss his humor, knowledge, leadership and friendship. May he rest in peace!
