Chester County Litter Lifters

I presented the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Community Pride Award to Beth Intoccia of the Litter Lifters of West Vincent at last night’s West Vincent Township Board of Supervisors meeting.

Since 2020, Beth’s leadership has helped grow the Litter Lifters into a volunteer force of more than 100 community members, removing over 1,400 bags of litter from roads, parks, streams, and open spaces across Chester County.

Congratulations, Beth, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you to all of the Litter Lifters volunteers who work tirelessly to keep our communities clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone.

We're hosting another campaign sign collection!

Beginning today, 5/19, through Friday, 5/29, drop off your campaign signs at the Chester County Government Services Center to be recycled. Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors, too!

A big thank you to volunteer Dave Shirey for his ongoing commitment to keeping beautiful! 🌎♻️

On 3/28, his single-day, multi-location cleanup brought together 111 volunteers who collected an impressive 5,253 pounds of litter along 65 miles of roadway.

Thank you also to SECCRA for providing trash hauling and disposal. Partnerships like these make a real difference in our communities!

Cheers to another new group! 🎉 This puts us one step closer to reaching our goal.

A big thank you to the 20 volunteers who worked the Tredyffrin Township Democrats first litter clean up on 5/16.

They've "Adopted a Highway" and will collect litter along Swedesford Road every spring and fall. Join them this fall!

Join the Tredyffrin Township Democrats for their first-ever Adopt-a-Highway cleanup as they work together to keep the community clean and beautiful on Saturday, 5/16, from 8:30 - 10 a.m.

They'll be cleaning a portion of their adopted 1.5 mile stretch of Swedesford Road in Malvern, with additional cleanups planned throughout the year.

Walk-ups are welcome, but RSVPS are appreciated!

Just bring your water, sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing (ages 16+ welcome). 😀
