Baldwin for Lakota School Board

Baldwin for Lakota School Board I am running for the Lakota School Board. Jason Baldwin is running for the Lakota School Board. I graduated from Lakota High School in 1996.

I believe that we need to keep the budget balanced, get more corporate/business collaboration, work on improving the busing situation for the district, and ensure that there is complete transparency. I am a Marine Veteran and a former high school science teacher who taught in Chicago, IL and Sedona, AZ. I feel compassionate about education and want to make sure that the community that I grew up in

continues to have one of the best school districts in Ohio. I would appreciate your vote for me in November 7 election to fill one of the open spots on the Lakota School Board.

Thank you everyone who came out and voted both today and earlier during early voting. I believe that voting is a sacred duty. Thank you for voting and thank you for your support!

Election day is almost upon us. Early voting is still an option today and Election Day is tomorrow. Regardless of how you vote, you should vote and make your voice be heard. If you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain.

I'm for increased community involvement (both as individuals and businesses) in the school district to bring more untapped resources to the students. This can help to increase student activities (specials and/or after school activities) as well as internships, co-ops, job shadowing, apprenticeships, etc. I also feel that looking at busing for either 9th grade and/or for all elementary students is a must. We can do better. I'm for open dialogue and complete transparency for what is occurring in the district so that the community is fully informed and so that there is no spread of misinformation. I feel that these are admirable goals that should be worked towards. If you like me would like to see these changes occur, please vote for me during early voting or on November 7th. Thank you for your support!

I would like to thank all of the community members that came out to the last two Meet the Candidate events sponsored by the West Chester Tea Party and the West Chester Liberty Chamber Alliance. It was good to see community members becoming involved in the political process and become informed citizens. I would also like to thank the West Chester Tea Party and the West Chester Liberty Chamber Alliance for hosting these events that allow the community to become engaged and learn about the candidates.

My husband possesses the knowledge and the history to be a great asset to the Lakota School Board. He graduated from Lakota in 1996. He volunteered his time to serve in the Marines from 1996-2000. He has a master's degree in Education and was a teacher in Chicago, Illinois as well as in Sedona, Arizona. He understands what it takes to be a successful educator. He currently works in private industry. He will build collaboration among all stakeholders. You may notice that we don't have any pictures of children on our page. We are foster parents and feel compelled to make the community better and stronger. Jason Baldwin has what it takes to be an excellent member of the Lakota School Board. If you would like more information about him please message him or check out his page. -Aunjaleis Bishop-Baldwin
