This weekend our VFW Post 7696 will be distributing US Flags in honor of upcoming Veteran’s Day.
We will have tables set up Saturday, 11/5 and Sunday 11/6 from 10:00am til 2:00pm at the West Chester Lowes and Home Depot stores. Also West Chester Cabela’s Saturday, 11/5 10:00am til 2:00pm and Sunday 11/6 from 11:00am til 3:00pm

If you are out and about, please stop by and see us.

Silent Watch- Veterans Su***de Awareness Event 2022
We lose an average of 17 Veterans a day to su***de. To raise awareness, we are asking for volunteers to take a 20-minute time slot and stand Silent Watch next to a flag draped casket. If you are unable to stand, we will provide a chair. You do not need to be a Veteran to participate- everyone is invited. We ask the area around the casket remains quiet.

The event will conclude at midnight, 17 hours after it begins, with a quiet ceremony consisting of folding the American Flag, 21 Gun Salute and "Taps."

Location: 315 High St. Hamilton, OH 45011 at the intersection of High St/Veterans St. Just outside the office of the Butler County Veterans Service Commission.
Parking: There is meter parking available, or you may elect to park in the GSC Parking Garage on Court Street, located behind the Government Service Center. If you choose the garage, please feel free to see one of the Commission employees before leaving the event for a pass to cover your parking cost.

2022 is the 75th Anniversary of the Department of the Air Force. Throughout the year the museum will host events and exhibits honoring and celebration our history.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7696, West Chester, OH wish to thank Lowes, Home Depot and Cabela's for providing set-up space for our recent Poppy Drive. We also wish to extend a big thank you to all individuals that donated and helped us live up to the VFW motto, "to honor the dead, by helping the living." VFW Buddy Poppies are assembled by disabled, needy, and aging veterans in VA Hospitals and domiciliary across the country. The majority of proceeds derived from each donation conducted by VFW Posts is retained locally to provide for veteran services and welfare.
