School pictures were distributed today to students who attended Sophomore Orientation. We have not yet received the remaining picture packages for juniors, seniors, and sophomores who did not attend orientation. We will distribute those pictures as soon as they arrive. Thank you for your patience.

From Adena: FUN FEST is returning on Friday, September 18th, and we need you! The Adena PTO hopes to make this our primary fundraiser of the year, supporting crucial student enrichments and family events. It takes a village to pull this off, so we are recruiting adults, junior high and high schoolers to join our volunteer crew!

DON’T FORGET YOUR STUDENT’S SCHEDULE!

We invite you to attend the annual Lakota West Curriculum Night on Wednesday, August 26 at 6:00PM.

The Curriculum Night program is designed to allow you the opportunity to meet with each of your child's teachers. You will follow a schedule similar to that which your child follows each day. The schedule for Curriculum will be as follows:
Period Time
Period 1 6:15 - 6:23
Period 2 6:26 - 6:34
Period 3 6:37 - 6:45
Period 4 6:48 - 6:56
Period 5 6:59 - 7:07
Period 6 7:10 - 7:18
Period 7 7:21 - 7:29

If you plan to attend, please note:
It is essential that your child gives you a copy of a schedule before you come to the curriculum night. Make sure that the schedule lists both room numbers and teacher names. Your student is welcome to join you.
You are asked to report directly to the 1st bell at 6:10PM.
We will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance and announcements.
Bell will ring promptly at the noted times, and teachers have been instructed to begin their presentation each period at the noted time.
The purpose of this curriculum night is for you to get acquainted with each of your child's teachers and the subject matter begin taught. It is not a time for parent-teacher conferences. If you feel a conference is necessary, please feel free to schedule a conference for a later time.
If your son/daughter has NEXUS on their schedule, you should go to the cafeteria for study hall!

❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️ Officer Gattermeyer is one of the best! Be sure to say hello when you see him at school.

Officer Nick Gattermeyer, a 19-year veteran of West Chester Police Department, is serving in his second year as School Resource Officer (SRO) at Lakota West High School.

"It's super important because you can help build a good image for police," Officer Gattermeyer said. "It's almost like community outreach, where you can be that face when you talk to the young people and staff."

He is in his eighth year as a resource officer, and Gattermeyer previously served as Assistant Team Leader of the Sniper Unit within SWAT.

Thank you for all you have done for our community, Officer Gattermeyer!
