This week’s “Business Spotlight” is Bier and Loathing, located at 113 W Market Street. 👾 We spoke with their Social Media/Event Marketing Manager, Nikki DiGiorgio, to get the inside scoop.
1. Tell me about your business and what makes it unique.
We’re a retro arcade bar in West Chester serving craft beer, cocktails, great food, and a full lineup of classic arcade games and entertainment. What makes us unique is the experience — people can grab dinner and drinks, play games, shoot pool, sing karaoke, and hang out in an immersive neon atmosphere all in one place. We’ve built a space that feels fun, energetic, and genuinely welcoming, whether you’re here for a night out, a party, or just to unwind with friends.
2. What services or products do you offer?
We offer craft beer, cocktails, food, arcade games, pool tables, karaoke nights, and private event hosting for everything from birthdays to corporate parties. Our space is designed for people to eat, drink, play, and actually connect through shared experiences and entertainment.
3. How long have you been in business?
A little over a year!
4. What do you love most about being located in West Chester?
The people. Period! And we have the strongest and most united community of small business owners, which makes it easy to be a resource to everyone.
5. What can you tell me about the culture or atmosphere of your business?
We want people to feel like they can walk in, grab a drink and food, play games with their friends, and genuinely unplug for a while in a laid-back, welcoming environment. The atmosphere is nostalgic, casual, and high-energy in all the right ways — the kind of place where people laugh loudly, get competitive over arcade games and pool, and leave feeling like they actually had a night out.
6. Is there anything else you would like to share about your business?
Join us for “Horror Hour” every Wednesday through Friday, featuring half-price appetizers, $5 drafts, and $8 select cocktails. Stop by on Sundays for $10 cheesesteaks available all day long, or come out on Thursdays at 9pm for $3 Power Hours specials. Karaoke takes place every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm–12am. Plus FREE POOL TABLES for anyone 21+ to enjoy.
