With the possibility of scattered strong to severe thunderstorms this evening, remember to stay with updates from our friends at the US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly.

Another hot one today with highs in the upper 80s/low 90s. We are expecting some showers and thunderstorms to move in this evening. A few storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, especially for areas along and north/west of the I-95 corridor. Stay safe!

It’s always great to work with our partners to strengthen the connection between the information gathered during 9-1-1 calls and the care provided in the field!

Earlier this week, we continued our ongoing partnership with the Chester County Department of Emergency Services to provide new 911 call takers with firsthand exposure to Chester County's emergency medical services system.

This unique partnership helps prepare new call takers by giving them a better understanding of the care patients are likely to receive when they call 911 during a medical emergency. Through this experience, call takers gain valuable insight into the EMS response process and the critical role they play in connecting patients with lifesaving care.

Today, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM, Constellation will be conducting its semi-annual, full-volume test of the emergency warning sirens surrounding the Peach Bottom Clean Energy Center (PBCEC). Additional siren testing will occur throughout the day on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 and on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at various intervals throughout the day.

On May 19, 2026 the Chester County Department of Emergency Services and Great Valley School District held a Full-Scale Active Threat Exercise at Great Valley High School alongside first responders from throughout the county.

Full-scale exercises are designed to test multi-agency coordination under high stress and realistic circumstances. They evaluate both functional and “boots on the grounds” emergency procedures.

This multi-year training and exercise plan and schedule, was the result of the hard work of many members of CCDES, the Great Valley School District, as well as first responders from local and state agencies.

Your dedication to public safety and participation is appreciated!
