When two worlds collide 😎

PHRN/Corporal Kelly Hoover proves that one impressive title just isn't enough.

In addition to serving on the streets with Good Fellowship, Kelly also serves as an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician with the United States Air Force, helping provide critical care to patients in the air as a flight medic.

Recently, she gave fellow Good Fellowship team members Collin and Julius a firsthand look at her mission above the clouds during a special fly-along experience.

Whether on the ground or in the skies, it's all part of the same mission: helping others.

Honored. Proud. Dedicated. ❤️

Good Fellowship has earned the American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Achievement Award, recognizing our commitment to delivering lifesaving care when it matters most. Since launching our Advanced Life Support program in 2018, Good Fellowship has received the American Heart Association's highest level of EMS recognition each year, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to excellence in prehospital cardiac and stroke care.

The Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Achievement Award recognizes EMS agencies that demonstrate excellence in prehospital cardiac and stroke care and strong collaboration with hospital partners to improve patient outcomes. Good Fellowship's EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics consistently meet or exceed the American Heart Association's rigorous performance standards through their dedication to clinical excellence, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement. Their commitment helps ensure the highest level of care for patients experiencing time-sensitive cardiac and stroke emergencies.

In addition to the Gold Achievement Award, Good Fellowship was recognized on both the Target: Heart Attack Honor Roll and the Target: Stroke Honor Roll. These distinctions recognize EMS agencies that excel in reducing the time to definitive treatment for patients experiencing heart attacks and strokes, ensuring rapid access to the specialized care that can significantly improve outcomes when every minute counts.

This recognition reflects the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire clinical staff. We are proud to serve our community and remain committed to providing exceptional emergency medical care every day.

True or False: An AED Machine restarts the heart during cardiac emergency.

FALSE

A common misconception about AEDs is that they restart the heart, when they actually reset it by temporarily stopping the heart. By halting chaotic rhythms, AED machines give the heart a chance to beat normally again. That reset can save a life. Learn it. Trust it. Use it.
