We have some exciting news to share...

The Fame will be pulling the 1884 Silsby Hose Carriage in the America 250th Salute to Service Parade on Friday July 3rd in Philadelphia! We are very honored to participate with many groups across the Country in this upcoming parade and celebration of our Nation's history!

The Silsby Hose Carriage was delivered to the Fame on Christmas Day in 1883. This is a hand drawn piece which is pulled by ten firefighters. No horses were ever used to pull this carriage when it was in service from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The Fame has marched with the Silsby hose carriage all over the North East United States including New York City, West Virginia, and Delaware. One again, we return to the great city of Philadelphia! We hope to see you there!

Assistant 53, Rescue 53, Utility 53-1 and the Collapse Trailer assisted Station 4 units on this unique incident. The situation was resolved without incident. Crews utilized Paratech Fire & Rescue Equipment Acme Thread Struts, HydraFusion struts and a VSK Controller to complete the removal of the occupant.

In an effort to help save the Borough costs, Fame will be placing the 1884 Silsby back into service this week. This will respond per the WCFD Standard Operating Procedures. We apologize in advance if our firefighters are tired when they arrive to the scene.
