The Community Service team is ready for another round of winter weather. The National Weather Service is expecting 10-11 inches for West Chester by Sunday evening.
Not all roads in the Township are serviced by the Township. Ohio Department of Transportation and Butler County Engineer's Office have maintenance responsibility as well.
As long as the snow continues to fall, crews will focus on main roadways. Once crews move into residential areas, they make one pass in and one pass out to provide for safe two-way travel lanes.
Depending on the severity of the storm, crews may leave residential areas at any time to concentrate on major roadways. Residential streets have to be a lower priority.
Please move vehicles off the street to avoid being plowed in. Unfortunately, snow piled across drive approaches cannot be avoided. Please avoid plowing snow from driveways onto public streets.
The snowplow operators make every effort to remove snow as close to the curb line as possible to provide access to mailboxes for the United States Postal Department. The final cleaning adjacent to mailboxes located in the township-owned right-of-way is the responsibility of each resident.
