It is with extreme sadness that we must advise that Arthur (Art) Rothe passed away on March 27th at his Downingtown home. He was 74 years old. Art was one of the original founders of the DelChester Public Works Association. He was also the treasurer of DCPWA for over 30 years! His honesty, dedication, and work ethic helped make DCPWA an important part of the regional public works community. Art, while on the board, made sure that public works personnel were given training in safety, maintenance, operation, new technologies, etc., so that their work could be done safely, cost effectively and efficiently.

Art was the Township Engineer at Middletown Township (Delco) for 3 decades. He was well-known in the community. He was dedicated to the residents there.
Art was a very giving person to his family, neighbors, friends and co-workers. He kept his giving nature to himself.

Art always had a quick smile or a friendly retort. He had an amazing sense of humor that will be missed by all. The regional public works community lost a leader with his passing.

Vendor Members

Vendor Membership Any person, vendor, or company with special knowledge, experience or interest in the public works field may become a Vendor Member. Vendor Members are entitled to attend and participate in the Association’s general membership meetings, as well as, sponsor a general meeting. The Association’s Board of Directors will review applications for Vendor Members. If you are interested in sponsoring a training event, please email [email protected].

Active Members

Chester County or Delaware County municipalities or governmental agencies whose employees or officials are involved in public works may become an Active Member. Townships, boroughs, cities and municipal authorities are eligible for membership. Active Membership entitles employees of the municipality or governmental agency to attend and participate in the Association’s general membership meetings. Additional employees with our larger Municipalities may attend.
