Congratulations to the DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform!

The board awarded a $60,000 Mental Health Grant to help fund a new coordinated Behavioral Health Access Initiative in Wayne Township, focusing on outreach, navigation, language access, and system coordination to improve service access for residents.

This program will focus on improving access to mental health and substance use services for Wayne Township residents by addressing barriers like lack of awareness, language challenges, transportation, cost, waitlists, and insurance limitations.

It will partner with local providers and trusted community spaces, and verify all funded services will be offered solely to Wayne Township residents.

Key Highlights:
✅Monthly outreach events to connect residents with behavioral health services
✅ Navigation support to help residents access care
✅ Interpretation services & translated materials to overcome language barriers
✅ Strengthened coordination among local providers
📍 All services will be FREE for Wayne Township residents!

Together, we aim to make mental health and substance use services accessible to everyone in our community. To learn more about the DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform, visit their website: https://www.dupagefederation.org/

Resilience is the process of adapting to adversity, trauma, or significant stress sources, such as relationship problems and serious health issues.

The American Psychological Association emphasizes resilience as a learned ability that can be cultivated through various practices, allowing individuals to recover and develop from life's setbacks leading to personal growth.

One vital approach is developing a support network. A strong support network provides emotional comfort and practical assistance during challenging times. Connecting with friends, family, or colleagues can offer different perspectives and encouragement.

Embrace the significance and importance of a strong social support network for the overall mental and physical care of yourself, your life, and others.

This Mental Health Month, take a moment and reach out to people in your life.
Checking in on a friend, offering support, and making space for honest conversations can help people feel less alone.

Small acts of care matter more than we realize.
