Comrade Frank Bouknight had the honor of inviting Past Chapter Commander Leroy Tyson and Dorothy Tyson to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church to speak at the church’s monthly Men & Women’s Group meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Tyson shared valuable information about Veteran Affairs services and explained the important work of the DAV and the DAVA in supporting veterans and their families. Their presentation helped bring greater awareness to the benefits, resources, and assistance available to those who have served our country.

We thank Leroy and Dorothy Tyson for taking the time to educate and inspire the community, and we appreciate Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church and Comrade Frank Bouknight for welcoming this important conversation. Together, we continue working to ensure our veterans and their families receive the care, respect, and support they deserve.

Day two of the DAV State Convention was a proud and memorable moment for the 92nd Buffalo Chapter 20.

Our chapter was honored to receive a plaque from National Headquarters commemorating 75 years of chartered service to veterans and our community. The plaque was presented by National Guest Executive Director Jim Marszalek to our very own Adjutant, Tracy Mitchill, during one of the Convention’s business sessions.

For 75 years, the 92nd Buffalo Chapter has stood in service, support, and advocacy for those who have served our nation. We proudly continue to uphold the legacy built by those who came before us while looking ahead to the future with the same commitment and dedication.

Here’s to honoring our past and continuing the mission for generations to come!

The DAV State Convention kicked off yesterday with a full day of training and learning. The morning began with CSO training, followed by BPTL sessions, Judge Advocate and concluded with Adjutant and Treasurer training to wrap up the day, 30 April 2026.

Your Chapter officers are here gaining the knowledge, tools, and updates needed to better serve our chapter and the entire Veteran community. Every class attended strengthens our ability to advocate, support, and stand beside the veterans and families we represent.

We are proud to continue learning so we can continue serving. 🇺🇸

The Veteran Affairs Volunteer Services (VAVS) held their Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on April 23, 2026, at the Dorn Medical Center Auditorium.

Several Chapter 20 members were recognized for the many hours they dedicated in service to our VA Hospital and facilities. Congratulations to Comrades Ed Griffin, Jerry Brown, Gloria Porter, and Tracy Mitchell, along with many other outstanding volunteers from our community who continue to make a difference for our veterans every day.

We were also honored to have Comrade Chris Nesmith as the special guest speaker for the event. The program was meaningful, the fellowship was strong, and everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal together.
