💖 West Conshy & Co showed up HUGE today for Founders’ Day, the Alyssa Rose Stem Scholarship and as her brother said “for all of us!” The WCPD once again had a well run event BURSTING with enthusiasm. Thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, George Clay Fire Co, West Conshy Public Works and Borough Council. Thanks also to Jenn from Yoga Home, DJ Mason and Constable Clinton Wakefield.

This event had over 200 racers and brought in important funds to the Alyssa Rose Stem Scholarship Fund which will continue to make her spirit everlasting. ✨

WEST CONSHY FOUNDERS’ DAY 5K. This awesome community event is happening on Saturday, October 10th at 8:00 AM sharp! ⏱️
We will be gathering at the West Conshohocken Borough Hall (112 Ford St.). 🏃‍♀️

Check in begins at 7am. WCPD can direct you to nearby parking. Come before 7:30 when roads close. DJ Mason will keep us entertained and Jenn from Yoga Home will warm us up! Kids Fun Run at 7:45, 5k at 8am.

⚠️🚨On Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 7:30am to 9am multiple roads will be closed in the Borough for a 5k run. Front St from Matsonford Road to 900 River Rd, Barr Harbor Dr from Front St to Crawford Ave & Balligomingo Road from Front St to Portland Road. There will be "No Parking" on the 100 block of Front St and Borough Hall parking lot. Alternate detour routes around the road closures will be available. 🚨⚠️

🏆Stick around after the race! We will have an awards ceremony for top finishers by age group.

We also have some fun give aways this year donated by our sponsors. Constable Clint Wakefield has a collapsible wagon for your upcoming candy haul and Halloween inflatables to decorate your lawn! 🎃We also have 2 Birdie brand lights/alarms, perfect to remain safe and visible during an early morning or late night workout. Happy Founders’ Day, West Conshohocken!

On this day in 1874, West Conshohocken was officially incorporated. Our town was carved out of territory taken equally from Upper Merion and Lower Merion Townships.

Early Borough Council meetings took place on the second floor of the Public School House, led by our first Burgess (the historic term for Mayor), George D. Bullock.

Back in 1874, our roads were unpaved and there were no streetlights. Over the decades, our industrial mills have given way to modern office buildings, but our tight-knit community spirit hasn't changed. We are fortunate to live in a borough we can all be proud to call home—and that’s why our motto remains, “Shake Hands with Your Neighbors.”

😊 One of my favorite away games, the Bridgeport 5k! Great job by everyone involved. I am always happy to help raise money for The Bridgeport Fire Department and the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard.

Yes I did temporarily borrow Bridgeport Mayor Tony’s sash but I politely returned it. 😆
