Good morning!! Just letting you all know about our grass cutting schedule. The grass was scheduled to be mowed tomorrow on July 2nd but due to the extreme temperatures for the next few days the grass unfortunately will not be mowed. Probably not for the next few weeks. We have no control over scheduling. I apologize for the over grown cemetery. It was cut two weeks ago and is getting long. I know how bad this looks. Believe me, we do not enjoy having the cemetery look bad especially when we strive to make it nice and safe. We have heard, in the past, to get off of our lazy butts and mow it ourselves. Unfortunately, I cannot do that anymore or I would. But, those of you that own plots or grave sites, you are welcome to w**d whack your own. Yes, that is the cemeteries job to maintain. But all I am saying is if you wanted to, you can. Some of you do maintain your sites. We appreciate that.
Also, another thing that I need to address, that was brought to our attention. As you know, we have signs up on the new fences. One in particular is “No Dogs Permitted in the Cemetery.” Why do we do that? Because people walk their dogs through the cemetery and they p**p and the owner does not pick it up. So with that said, we will now have to place a couple more signs for the outside perimeters of the fences because people think it is ok to let their dogs p**p out there and not clean it up. We will definitely enforce it with cameras. We do no like being this petty but clean up after your pets. Do not let others step in it or clean up after you. Please be kind and considerate.
Thank you!
Have a wonderful July 4th!!
