West Deptford Township was officially incorporated on March 1, 1871 when it broke away from Deptford Township through an act of legislation. On March 21, 1871, the first Township Meeting took place at the Thorofare #3 School with three committeemen and one clerk. The meeting at the new Town Hall was held on March 2, 1875, which we now know as the West Deptford Little Theater building. In 1878, the

eastern boundary was moved to separate the Boro of Westville and in 1902, the Boro of National Park followed suit.

🎉 Our StreetFEST Market & Music Series is almost here! 🎶🛍️

Check out our opening night vendors and bands—we're counting down the days until June 25th and can't wait to see you there!

The Market opens at 5 PM with local vendors and live entertainment from Breaknrecords Band. Then at 7 PM, the concert begins featuring The Juliano Brothers Band!

We'll also be joined by the Miss West Deptford Pageant winners as we kick off another exciting season.

Join us at RiverWinds Community Center for an evening of shopping, music, and community fun. See you there! 🌟

Join us on Saturday, June 20, for a Juneteenth Celebration at Owen's Park in Williamstown!

Hosted by the Gloucester County NAACP P, Monroe Township, and the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, this free community event will bring residents together for an afternoon of celebration, reflection, and fun.

Enjoy live music, food, vendors, giveaways, entertainment, and a softball tournament while commemorating Juneteenth and honoring the significance of freedom, resilience, and community.

🚐💜 Wellness on Wheels is Coming to Gloucester County!

The Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and Rowan College of South Jersey Mobile Recovery Program's Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Van is hitting the road to bring vital health and recovery services directly into our communities.

Residents can access a variety of free services, including medical care, peer recovery support, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), Narcan, wound care, testing services, referrals, and more—all in a welcoming and supportive environment.

• June 3 – Glassboro
• June 4 – Pitman

This important program, supported by the Gloucester County Board of County Commissioners, helps connect residents with the care, resources, and support they need—right where they are.

Beginning tonight, June 4, through Sunday, June 7, our water tower will be illuminated in blue in support of Maple Shade resident Xavier Taylor.

Xavier, 12, is currently recovering in the hospital after being struck in the head by a baseball. As a community, we stand with Xavier and his family during this difficult time.

We encourage everyone to keep Xavier in your thoughts and prayers and continue sending positive wishes for strength, healing, and a full recovery.

The Gloucester County Office of Mental Health is offering Mental Health First Aid for Adults (MHFA), a free, one-day training that teaches participants how to recognize the signs of mental health and substance use challenges, respond effectively, and connect individuals with appropriate support and resources.

Whether you're a family member, friend, coworker, educator, or community member, this valuable training can help you build the confidence and skills needed to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.
