MY FRIENDS

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fredrik Backman is the master of tugging at your heartstrings and taking you on a emotional rollercoaster ride.
While reading this book (and many days after finishing) I kept reminiscing about my childhood and my best friends that I spent my sunmers with (which were all boys)...riding our bikes, swimming and of course getting into mischief. Those memories came flooding back and that's the magic of a gifted, talented writer. These characters will stay with me for a long time!

Night Swimmers by Roisin Maguire
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

An absolutely beautiful story. Engaging characters. The writing captured me immediately, I had to put it down every now and then to not finish it too soon, I wanted it to go on forever. I felt with every character.
I loved the author's very descriptive vision of the seaside village of Ballybrady on the east coast of Northern Ireland and the gorgeous sea that I wanted to jump in the water myself at the end. Great characters amongst this quirky coastal community.

The Widow by John Grisham

Bumping my rating up to 3 1/2 ⭐
This book had potential but not as gripping and suspenseful as I hoped it would be...like some of his other books.

The Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett
4.5 🌟

The Road to Tender Hearts... darkly comedic, heartwarming with an extremely entertaining group of characters and a cat named Pancakes! Very reminiscent of the movie Little Miss Sunshine. What a treat to read!

Warning: tissues may be needed! 😢
