Congratulations to everyone who was brave enough to put yourself out there to serve your communities! Special congratulations to my dear friend Lindsay James for winning her race in NE Iowa.

Social media wars during this primary are now blissfully behind us. I know first hand: it’s hard to lose. I know first hand: it’s hard to not be able to finish a race you worked so hard for. It hurts so, so badly.

It’s my hope we can remember the big picture goal and work together to help make a vision of a more welcoming, affordable, and healthier Iowa a reality.

And, respectfully, if you want to continue bickering and fighting and sharing cheap-seat feedback, feel free to take that somewhere else. We have a state to fix.

20 years ago, Lee graduated from Drake Law and let Ellie borrow his cap. This weekend, Ellie graduated from Georgetown Law and returned the favor. Congratulations Ellie! We are overwhelmingly proud of you.

It’s official: former Senator Tom Harkin has endorsed Josh Turek for the United States Senate. What a poetic and beautifully fitting endorsement from the man who fought for the Americans with Disabilities Act to be supporting a candidate whose success in life has only been possible because of that legislation.

I was proud to work for Senator Harkin twice, and I was of course honored to be represented by him. His support for Josh Turek says a lot - Josh will govern with integrity, grit, and heart, just like Tom did. This is a big deal and a meaningful endorsement.
