Over a dozen crews responded to the scene of a fire on Route 113 in Thetford Sunday.

Sunday night at 5:19 tones dropped for a structure fire on route 113 - West Fairlee Fire Chief first on scene quickly recognized the intensity of the fire and immediately radioed for an upgrade to a 3rd alarm. West Fairlee Engine 1 first truck on scene immediately went to protecting the exposure, the roof already smoking. Thetford second on scene immediately claimed command and West Fairlee continued fire attack and exposure protection. Thetford second on scene immediately claimed command and West Fairlee continued the role of fire attack and operations. We want to thank all the departments who showed up - it's not just one department it's a team effort !!
