Studies have shown that reading skills affect a child's success in all subjects in school, not just English or language. When the provides kids a choice of books in the summer months, we ensure that they become more confident learners in all subjects. Kids who visit the Little Red Reading Bus also avoid summer learning loss, something that affects all students when they are out of school. This year, the Little Red Reading Bus's route is even more important as students have experienced non-traditional schooling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and can use all the support they can get as we emerge from this unprecedented time.
