Thanks to their commitment and hard work, we now have a state-of-the-art training academy that stands out in the region. We had a fantastic time joining the West Fargo Park District for their Walk in the Park event, with over 275 people enjoying the beautiful morning!

Our Community Risk Reduction team was there to provide valuable insights into community resources, fire extinguisher safety, and additional steps seniors can take to enhance their safety.

🌟Community Health Alliance Success Story 🌟

We're excited to share a positive story from the West Fargo Community Health Alliance (CHA) that showcases the strength of community and collaboration in healthcare.

A resident, hesitant about hospital transport after multiple falls, was encouraged by responders to try the CHA Program. At the hospital, the West Fargo Fire Department referred her to a social worker who discovered she had been using a faulty medication pump. This led to a new health care plan, which included discharge to a rehab facility.

Her son, unaware of the repeated 911 calls, became vital to her care. He was listed as the primary emergency contact and took steps to improve her home safety, including installing cameras and managing her medication with a home care manager.

This story highlights the importance of community and effective communication in improving health outcomes. We're proud of the West Fargo CHA's role in connecting families with the right resources.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Please Note: In observance of Memorial Day, the City of West Fargo will be closed on Monday, May 25. While public safety agencies will remain fully operational, the West Fargo Police and Fire Department buildings will not be open to the public.

Thank you to this young resident who stopped by to play pickleball with C-Shift during their PT time!🎾🧑‍🚒

Daily PT workouts help build strength, endurance and flexibility, which are all essential for the job. Workouts play a critical role in ensuring that our firefighters are physically fit and are able to perform their duties effectively!

Congratulations to the graduates of the Metro Fire Academy! 🎓🚒

Although we didn't have any West Fargo recruits in this class, we are incredibly proud to be a community partner. Together with the Fargo Fire Department and Moorhead Fire Department, we successfully hosted and helped train this Metro Fire Training Academy - Class 14.

Thank you all of the graduates for their dedication to the residents of their respective departments. We know you will make us all proud!
