Here at the Library: For the month of September we will have 2 drawings.
1st drawing: If you sign up for a library card, your name will be entered into a drawing.
2nd drawing: Existing cardholders, share the library card sign up post on your page and tag the library or use the checked in at the library option so we know who shares the post. We are trying to grow our page followers and get more card holders and we feel like you can help us do this!

Here at the library: Tomorrow starts National Library Card Sign up Month. If you don't have yours, come by and sign up for one. If you live within city limits, takes a few minutes with ID and a piece of current mail. Outside city limits is $50/yr for the household, anyone 5 and up. If you sign up during September, your name will be in for National Library card sign up day drawing. Come get one of the most recognizable cards in town!

New story on the stroll.

Here at the Library: The first display of local craftsman talents. This submission by Chris McCabe, are pieces that he made with a thread wrapping technique on fishing poles. See pictures for up close detail. These are figured through math, in order to get the pattern laid out so that a series of threads can be wrapped, packed and then epoxy is used to seal the work in. This is not paint, but instead very thin thread to make these designs. Come by the library and take a look in the display case. If you have something you create and want to display it here at the library for a couple weeks, bring your items by. Give us a little run down of how they are made. We will display them.

Our word this week's picture was actually jellyfish. Yay!

Miss Lauryn was at it again, making jellyfish for our story and the kids loved them! Thank you Lauryn McCabe . Don't mind the eyes, I thought they needed eyes and I can't cut out anything the same size or shape, even with a pattern. So our jellyfish's eyes are a little over dramatic.

A very silly book in story time today. Nothing makes a day better than hearing children giggle. We had a new friend join us too. Hoping to see Cade again in story time.
