Hall High School’s Pops ‘n Jazz 2025 resumes tonight with former Hall High Band Director and current professor in residence at the University of Connecticut’s Jazz Studies program, John Mastroianni who will join the award-winning Hall High School Concert Jazz Band in performing one of his original compositions, “Someday.” CJB will also perform “Theme from the Asphalt Jungle,” one of the songs that helped them be selected to participate in this year’s Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington competition in May. Friday and Saturday’s shows will likely sell out. Don’t miss this chance to hear these amazing young musicians!

The first weekend is wrapped! What a show!! We’d like to close opening weekend with some important thanks. Thank you to all of the teachers and adults that give up their nights and weekends to make this fabulous show happen. Mr. G, Dr. Younse, Ms Hopkins, Miss Kate, Mrs. Avery, Mr. Baril, Mr. Drake, Joseph, Greg, Rorie, Joshua, Kevin, John, you are all amazing!! And thank you to Saturday night’s guest Pete McGuinness!
