📜 Discover a piece of West Hartford history, shared by Local History Librarian Brett Freiburger!

These pictures are of Mary Donohue, Town Historian, and Brett standing next to West Hartford’s Civil War Monument dedicated in 1904. Also, the launch of the new self-guided tour brochure for North Cemetery.

In the brochure, you'll find a piece written by Brett about James Pine, a free-born Black man who came to West Hartford with his family after working in Danbury as a hatmaker, poet, and lecturer.
