The interactive steel drum group Steel Appeal will be at the West Jeff Community Center next Friday, June 19th, at 10:30 AM! Free pizza will be served at the Library after the program for children and teens. If you do not have your summer reading log, stop by the Library anytime during business hours to get started!

Summer is here, and the sun is out! We have yard games here at the Library for you to check out and enjoy out in the sunshine. The selections are a pickleball set for 4, bocce ball, ladder toss, and croquet. They are located next to the Information Desk and the fishing poles.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Community Center to learn about the Science of Sound with Mister C! The show was amazing, and we hope you learned something new in a fun way!

Coming up next Friday, June 12th, at 10:30 AM at the Library, is String Theory with Leonardo! Free pizza will be served to the children and teens after the show.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 5th, is the first Friday Program of the HBMLibrary 2026 Summer Reading Program! Mister C, featured on PBS, will be at the WJ Community Center at 10:30 AM. We will explore the Science of Sound and discover how it works!

Storytime in the Park starts tomorrow, June 3rd, at Westwood Park at 10:30 AM! We will be walking around the Storybook Trail reading the new story "Dandy" by Ame Dyckman. It is an adorable book about a father trying to get rid of the w**d in his yard, but his daughter is always there spending time with it. What's a daddy to do about his perfect yard? Today is the first day of the 2026 HBMLibrary Family Summer Reading Program! Reading logs are available at the Information Desk. Participants who read 12 hours between now and July 31st will earn a completion prize, a coupon packet, and tickets into the Grand Prize drawings!
