Join us this Thursday as we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026! Scholarships, academic awards, and graduation cords will be presented as we recognize the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our seniors. All ACHS seniors and their families are invited to attend! 🎓✨

The Senior Picnic will follow the ceremony at Husky Stadium.

The end of the school year is officially here, and it is packed with exams, celebrations, and graduation prep. Here is what you need to know for the upcoming days:

🗓️ Key Dates:
June 1: Yearbook Distribution 📖
June 4: Senior Picnic & Awards (Graduation tickets given out! 🎟️)
June 5: EOC Testing Begins (English II & Math 1)
June 8-9: Teacher-Made, Biology, Math 3, and CTE Exams
June 11: Early Dismissal (12:30 PM) 🚌
June 12: Mandatory Graduation Practice (8:30 AM) & Graduation Ceremony (7:00 PM / Doors open at 5:30 PM) 🧑‍🎓

⚠️ Crucial Exam Reminders:
No Phones: State policy is strictly enforced. Phones will be collected at the door. Having a phone on you during an exam will void your score.
Sign-Outs: No student can be called out during testing. Parent sign-outs for afternoon departures are strictly limited to the 12:25 PM – 12:55 PM window.

Dress Code: Still applies through the very last day!

🏆💨 STATE CHAMPIONS! 💨🏆 A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Ashe County High School standouts Gracie F. and Jude T. for bringing home GOLD at the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 4A Track & Field State Championships at NC A&T! 🥇🔥

💥 Gracie F. soared to back-to-back state titles in the pole vault, clearing an incredible 10 feet, 6 inches to defend her crown! After also winning the Indoor Track State Championship earlier this year, Gracie continues to raise the bar — literally! 🙌💙

💪 Jude T. (not pictured) powered his way to the top of the podium in the shot put with a massive throw of 52 feet, 7.25 inches! Adding to his already impressive season, Jude also captured the Indoor Track State Championship in shot put this winter. What an incredible year! 🔥

🐾 HUSKY NATION: Important End-of-Year Updates & Safety Reminders 🐾

We are officially heading into the final stretch of the school year! To ensure our campus remains safe, focused, and completely ready for finals, please review these critical updates for the week ahead:

🎒 Yondr Pouch Collection (This Friday, May 29th)
Students will turn in their Yondr pouches to their homeroom teachers.
Fees: Missing or broken pouches will result in a $35 fee charged to the student's account.
Seniors: A quick reminder that all outstanding school debts must be paid in full prior to graduation!

🚫 DoorDash & Food Deliveries
Ordering food to campus via DoorDash or other delivery services is strictly prohibited.
Opening locked exterior doors to meet delivery drivers poses a major security risk to our building. Students who order food will have it confiscated and will serve In-School Suspension (ISS).

📱 Cell Phone Policy Reminder
Even after Yondr pouches are collected, cell phones must remain turned off and out of sight during the instructional day.
1st Offense: Phone confiscated (parent pickup required).
2nd Offense: 2 days of ISS.
3rd Offense: 3 days of Out-of-School Suspension (OSS).

👔 Dress Code Enforcement
As the weather warms up, we are seeing an increase in dress code violations. Please ensure shorts and shirts provide proper coverage (no exposed upper thighs, undergarments, or chest areas).
Students in violation will be required to change, and parents may be contacted to bring appropriate clothing to school.

📝 Final Exams & EOC Schedule (Starts June 5th)
Friday, June 5th: English II & Math 1 EOCs
Monday, June 8th: Teacher-Made Exams & 2nd Block CTE Exams
Tuesday, June 9th: Biology & Math 3 EOCs
Wed, June 10th & Thu, June 11th: Remediation and Retesting
Note: No students are exempt from state EOC exams.
