The Friends of the Ashe County Public Library wish to thank our wonderful guest speaker Jordan Sellers . We really enjoyed his passionate and informative presentation. Jordan is the North Peaks State Trail Coordinator at Blue Ridge Conservancy. His mission is to connect landscapes and communities with projects such as Paddy Mountain State Park. His current focus is on establishing the state trail from Howard’s K**b in Boone to Mount Jeferson here in Ashe County .

We are in great need of the following donated items:

Cooking items: utensils, dish towels, pot holders, small bowls, storage containers, Salad bowls, cookie cutters, salt and peppers, almost anything that would fit in a basket.

Dog and cat items: collars, small bowls, toys, figurines, blankets, treats, etc.

Entertainment: glasses, corkscrews, candles, cocktail napkins, small serving items, wine holders, glass I’d tags,etc.

Baby things: toys, books, blanket, hats, etc. Must be new or “like new” condition.

Sewing: yarn, knitting needles, samplers, cross stitch, sewing , crocheting, knitting, quilting items.

Coffee/ Tea: Very popular baskets- mugs, tea pots, tea ballers, tea, etc.

Gardening: Garden utensils, small pots, cute stuff, gardening gloves, bird feeders, bird houses.

Children: toys, books, crafts.

PLEASE BRING DONATIONS TO THE FRIENDS CORNER OR THE FRONT DESK 9F THE ASHE COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY.
