Taxpayers deserve confidence that every dollar spent by the federal government is protected from waste, fraud, and abuse. When fraudsters exploit federal student aid programs, taxpayers foot the bill, and legitimate students lose out.

I grew up in a segregated community that valued faith, family, education, grit, and integrity. Those are American ideals, not Black or white ones.

The Marxist Left has sold victimhood and a belief that America doesn’t work to my Black community for over six decades. The results can be seen in the hopelessly and despair in every Democrat-run and state throughout our country. I’m grateful that my community is waking up and recognizing that freedom, not dependency, is the path forward

Americans of all race, creeds & colors are experiencing the American Dream through faith, education, hard work, merit, patriotism, respect, and a never give up tenacity.

It’s called Conservatism. As Americans once again embrace its foundational tenets of self discipline and gratitude – our future will be a very bright one 🇺🇸

In 1894, Frederick Douglass said, “To deny education to any people is one of the greatest crimes against human nature [because] it is to deny them the means of freedom and the rightful pursuit of happiness.”

That is why the issue of fraud in our financial aid programs is so pernicious.

Because every dollar that goes to a scammer and a “ghost student” is a dollar that doesn’t go to the students who need it the most.

This Administration’s Department of Education just blocked more than $1 billion in fraudulent requests, but the guardrails they are implementing aren’t required by law.

My bill fixes that and ensures that the hard-earned tax dollars coming out of the pockets of Americans are being shielded from fraudsters permanently.

A proposal from Rep. Burgess Owens would establish an identity verification system to ensure bad actors aren’t stealing federal financial aid.

Every dollar the federal government spends anywhere on anything has come from the pockets of the hard-working American taxpayer. That is why it is critically important that we ensure we are doing whatever we can to root out fraud and abuse in any program set up to do good.

Education is the great equalizer, and every dollar set aside to assist students who need financial aid to get an education that can open a wealth of opportunities to them should be protected. The American taxpayer deserves a government that is a wise steward of the funds they’ve been entrusted. My bill is one step among many that this Congress and this Administration are taking to ensure that.

School choice for every child, including poor Black families.

No Tax on Tips.

No tax on overtime.

No Tax on Social Security, including Black Americans.

A permanent business tax cut, including Black small business owners.

$1,000 stock Trump Accounts for every newborn, including Black babies.

All-time record job growth, allowing all Americans, including the Black community, the opportunity to enter the middle class.

Here is a simple truth: There are only two sexes: male and female.

Yet across the country, school districts are actively pushing radical gender ideology on children and, in some cases, facilitating social transitions without parental knowledge or consent.

That is madness.

This is what teamwork looks like.

After months of work and 14 hours in the committee room, we got the job done and passed the BUILD America 250 Act with a bipartisan 62-2 vote. That was no small feat, and I applaud Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen, and their staff, for the months of work they put into this bill.
