On behalf of the West Kingston Fire Department, the members would like to share a few words on our fallen brother. It is with a heavy heart to share the news of Dale Evans passing. Dale Evans was many things to the West Kingston fire station, including a life member of 48 years, the last charter member of the department, a past Lieutenant, a past Captain. But above all those accomplishments, he was a mentor and friend to everyone. Not just to the West Kingston Fire Department, but the entire town of South Kingstown and the Union Fire District. Words cannot describe how loved and respected he was both on and off the apparatus. His roll call number was 905, but we all referred to him as 900. As one of our founding fathers, his passing will leave a hole in the hearts of our members that will never be filled. His legacy will continue every time the truck leaves for a fire call and in every training that is performed by current and future members of the West Kingston fire station. We will forever miss our friend and brother Dale Evans.
