Cultivating Care for Veterans in Agriculture. This survey gathers nationwide information about Farmer Veterans (defined as those who work in farming, ranching, forestry, and/or fishing and have a background of military service) including stressors, challenges, and needs. This survey is part of a project funded through the Department of Veterans Affairs and should take about 10 minutes to complete. Your insights are highly valued and will be used to help develop a program for other Farmer Veterans.
Please answer each item as honestly as you feel comfortable. There are no right or wrong answers, and you may skip any question you prefer not to answer. A member of the research team may follow up with you if clarification is needed.

We’re honored that AgrAbility has been named to the 2026 Forbes Accessibility 200 list! https://www.forbes.com/lists/accessibility/

According to Forbes, the list recognizes “the biggest innovators and impact-makers in accessibility” and highlights organizations “that make the world more available to everyone.”

This recognition reflects the work of the entire AgrAbility network—including the National AgrAbility Project, State/Regional AgrAbility Projects, partners, staff, and supporters across the country who help make agriculture more accessible for farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural workers with disabilities.

Thank you to everyone who supports the AgrAbility mission and helps improve quality of life in agriculture every day.

For 35 years, AgrAbility has helped farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural workers overcome barriers caused by injury, illness, aging, and disability — proving that with the right support and adaptive solutions, people can continue doing the work they love.

National AgrAbility is pleased to share our new publication: *Adapting. Not Quitting: 35 Years of AgrAbility.*

The report highlights:
🌱 The history and growth of the USDA AgrAbility Program
🌱 Stories of resilience and innovation from agricultural workers across the country
🌱 The impact of assistive technology and education
🌱 Statistics and milestones from 35 years of service
🌱 The partnerships that have helped cultivate independence in agriculture since 1991

The publication also includes inspiring client and staff stories — many with video links — that demonstrate the determination, creativity, and perseverance found throughout the agricultural community.
