NORML stands for National Organization for the Reformation of Ma*****na Laws. NORML aims to shift public opinion sufficiently to achieve the legalization of recreational cannabis in the United States so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to penalty. NORML has been behind many of the recent successes in legalization across the United States, and has affiliated in co

untries around the world. Purdue NORML is a student chapter of the national-level NORML. Our focus is to promote healthy conversation about the controversy surrounding cannabis and inform the general public about the benefits and opportunities of legalization. We host fundraisers, outreach events, seminars, surveys, and campaigns around campus to reach these goals.

ATTENTION BOILERMAKERS: Purdue Engineering Alumni Chris Thompson will be back at Purdue next week, giving an educational seminar on starting your career in the cannabis industry!

If you or a student you know would be interested in learning more about this rapidly growing nationwide industry, tag them or send them this post! The seminar is next Wednesday, February 25th, from 6pm - 8pm in the Krannert Building, Room G020.

Chris will be discussing the various sectors of the cannabis industry to work in, what a typical day in the life in the industry looks like, the real pros and cons of the industry, and even sharing valuable contacts for internship opportunities!

Kentucky’s first dispensary is officially open in Beaver Dam! It’s called “The Post” and is selling medical cannabis to eligible Kentuckians.

So who’s eligible? Patients who have received a certificate from a doctor confirming they have a state-approved medical condition, which include:

-Any form of cancer
-Chronic, severe, intractable, or debilitating pain
-Epilepsy or other intractable seizure disorders
-Multiple sclerosis, muscle spasms, or spasticity
-Chronic nausea or cyclical vomiting syndrome
-Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
