Check out this immersive mural experience in Franklin, Indiana - Kuji Alley! Modeled after its sister city of Kuji, Japan, this alley features 800 metal cherry blossoms, 70 Japanese lanterns, a koi fish mural, and a traditional Japanese footbridge! 🏮🐟🌸🇯🇵

The connection began with Franklin College alumna Thomasine Allen, who traveled to Japan in 1915 as a missionary. She taught in several cities before settling in Kuji, where she helped establish Christian institutions, including a kindergarten, hospital, church, and college. In recognition of her impact, the Kuji City Council named Allen an honorary citizen. Today, Kuji Alley celebrates this connection.
