The west leechburg vfd is currently assisting indiana 310 iselin/west lebanon with a gas well emergency. Tanker 52 with a crew of 5 left at 5:45pm and has been assisting by hauling water to a dump tank on the well pad that is being used for a water curtain to keep the well head cool and added protection for the employees working on the well.

After 12 hours on the well pad/scene tanker and its crew returned to service at 5:30am. Ready for sleep and a full day of cleaning the truck.

Some of our members wives and friends of the WLVFD are taking on the challenge of cleaning up and updating our old Fireman’s club.

It’s upsetting that we cannot operate as a club anymore since we do not have the proper license but we are going to try to rent out the space for smaller parties!

This will take time as A LOT needs to be completed and major improvements before it’s safe as we have no AC or furnace and the roofing above that area needs fixed before we can proceed with fixing any of that.

Today around 12:10 AM the West Leechburg VFD was dispatched into Leechburg for a car roll over. We left in our tanker with a crew of 4 to assist the scene.

Everyone was safe. Please never put an assumption on a situation as you never know what could’ve happened. We are very happy everyone came out safe and okay! ❤️

This morning at 5:26 AM, the WLVFD was dispatch to a MVA with confirmed entrapment in Allegheny Township by BP and First Commonwealth Bank. WLVFD left in our engine tanker with 2 and arrived in scene to support within minutes.

Our prayers are with everyone involved.
