Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, father figures, mentors, and caregivers making a difference every day.

Thank you for the support you give, the lessons you share, the strength you show, and the care you provide to those around you.

Today is also a reminder that fathers need support too. Mental health matters for everyone, and no one should feel like they have to carry life’s challenges alone.

Wishing you a day filled with appreciation, connection, and time with the people who matter most. đź’š

Olivia Bazzell, Coleman Behavioral Health Navigator at Mary Rutan Hospital, is committed to building strong relationships and connecting individuals to local resources - ensuring compassionate, high-quality follow-up care and helping people rise above their circumstances.

Olivia provides follow-up support for individuals entering the emergency department during a behavioral health crisis, helping ensure they are connected to ongoing treatment, community resources, and the care they need after discharge.

She collaborates closely with community partners, including TCN Behavioral Health Services and Community Health & Wellness Partners, to strengthen care coordination, close gaps in services, and support a more seamless, person-centered continuum of care for individuals and families.

We are grateful for community partners who continue working together to support mental health, recovery, and long-term wellness throughout Logan and Champaign Counties. 🙏

💚 It’s not weak to speak.

Men’s mental health matters, and asking for help is a sign of strength 👉 not weakness. Too often, men are told to “push through,” stay silent, or carry struggles alone. Real strength is reaching out, checking in, and having honest conversations.

This Men’s Health Month, let’s continue breaking the stigma around mental health and remind the men in our lives that support is available.

The Logan County QRT (made up of dedicated partners including the MHDAS Board, TCN Behavioral Health, Mary Rutan Hospital, Coleman Health Services, Russells Point Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Logan County Health District, Recovery Zone, and Community Health & Wellness Partners) continues working together to ensure no one falls through the cracks when it comes to substance use and recovery support.

We’re excited to share a new public-facing referral link that makes it easier than ever to connect someone to help. This tool allows:
✔️ Community members
✔️ Family and friends
✔️ Employers or coworkers
✔️ Self-referrals

…to request a QRT follow-up for someone who may be struggling with substance use—or if you’re unsure where to start but know support is needed.

👉 Access the referral form here:
https://form.jotform.com/242474665625161?external_source_id=OH0460000X

📱 Or simply scan the QR code in this post to get started.

Important Tip:
When completing the form, scroll all the way down in the “Referring Agency” dropdown and select:
➡️ “Citizen” (for community/family referrals)
➡️ “Self” (for personal referrals)

This referral form is available 24/7/365, does not require a login, and works on any device. Once submitted, the QRT team receives the referral immediately and will follow up as soon as possible, usually in 24-72 hours, to offer support and connection to services.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Whether you’re concerned about a loved one—or yourself—this is a simple way to get connected to help, hope, and recovery.

Pride began as more than a celebration - it began as a movement for visibility, safety, dignity, and community.

Many LGBTQI individuals continue to face stigma, discrimination, rejection, harassment, and isolation, all of which can have a serious impact on mental health. These experiences can contribute to anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, and difficulty seeking support.

Supportive communities matter. Safe spaces matter. Compassion matters.

Positive coping and healing can include:
• Building supportive relationships
• Connecting with affirming communities
• Participating in support groups
• Seeking mental health support
• Advocating for inclusion and understanding

Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued exactly as they are.

Chief Joe Freyhof of the Russells Point Police Department serves as the Logan and Champaign Counties Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Co-Coordinator, helping lead efforts focused on behavioral health response, officer training, and crisis intervention.

With more than 20 years of law enforcement experience, Chief Freyhof works to strengthen local response efforts through education and skill-building that help officers safely and effectively engage individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.

His work helps create safer interactions, stronger communication, and more compassionate outcomes throughout our communities.

"With more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, I developed a passion for training that puts both officers and the citizens they serve in the best possible position for success. Integrating the ICAT model into our CIT training has strengthened our focus on empathy, crisis recognition, communication, and de-escalation—helping create safer, more positive outcomes for everyone involved." — Chief Joe Freyhof

We are grateful for community partners who continue working to improve behavioral health awareness, crisis response, and public safety across Logan and Champaign Counties.

Have the conversation that matters đź’™

It’s easy to think, “not my kid” or believe they would never try drugs. But the reality is, substance use can impact any family, and early conversations can make a difference.

Talking openly and honestly helps build trust, keeps communication strong, and gives your child the tools to make safer choices. You don’t have to have all the answers, just being willing to listen and talk is a powerful place to start.
