Multiple complexes of showers and storms will move across the area today and tonight. Significant to potentially life-threatening flash flooding possible, especially in areas that are hit with multiple rounds of storms. Turn around, don't drown!

Multiple storm complexes will move through this afternoon and evening. Several storms will be strong to severe with damaging winds (up to 80 mph) and heavy rainfall the primary concerns. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive alerts!

We have received reports that individuals are receiving letters claiming to be from the U.S. Department of Labor stating they have been selected to receive a grant. The letter requests that recipients provide personal or identifying information in order to receive the money.

This is a scam.

❌ Do NOT send any personal information, identification, banking information, or money in response to these letters.
❌ Do NOT respond to the sender or follow any instructions included in the letter.

If you receive one of these letters, dispose of it or report it to the appropriate authorities. Remember, if an offer of “free money” requires you to provide sensitive information first, it’s likely a scam.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for South Central Morgan County.

• Wind gusts up to 60 mph
• Penny-size hail possible
